Eagles running back Will Shipley (28) during the Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Each week throughout the season PDW will be posting a list of those players worth targeting on your weekly waiver wire. These lists will be made up from PDW contributors as well as fantasy partner content. Please check back weekly for the hot pickups. Below are players to target going into Week 5.

Players to Add

Will Shipley (RB, Philadelphia Eagles) Saquon Barkley is going week to week with a hamstring injury and Tank Bigsby is on injured reserve, leaving Will Shipley as the only healthy running back in Philadelphia. He is rostered in about 1% of ESPN leagues. Barkley is expected to miss the London trip to Jacksonville, and the Jaguars allow 14.5 fantasy points per game to running backs, so temper that one. The value is the next three weeks: Carolina, Dallas and Washington, all bottom six in points allowed. If Barkley sits out a spell, Shipley is not a flex, he is the RB1. Claim him before the deadline.

Keon Coleman (WR, Buffalo Bills) Keon Coleman is the top wide receiver on the wire, and he earned it in Week 4. He caught 6 of 7 targets for 116 yards and a touchdown, capped by a 34 yard fourth quarter score. D.J. Moore aggravated his shoulder in the same game and his status is unknown, and Coleman is rostered in just 4% of ESPN leagues. Buffalo travels to the Rams in Week 5, and if Moore misses time, Coleman has WR2 upside. Even if Moore returns, this is a cheap flex with a ceiling. Claim him now.

Kirk Cousins (QB, Las Vegas Raiders) Kirk Cousins has posted 20 plus fantasy points in three straight games, thrown for multiple touchdowns every week, and averages 256.5 passing yards per game. His Week 4 line of 365 yards and 2 touchdowns against Kansas City is rare for a waiver wire name, and he sits in 17% of ESPN leagues. Byes begin this week, and Cousins travels to New England in Week 5, a spot the fantasy calendars flag as a sit. If your starter is on a bye or in question, claim Cousins now. He is the cheapest real starting quarterback on the wire.

Zach Charbonnet (RB, Seattle Seahawks) Zach Charbonnet is the most dangerous name on the board and still available in 58% of ESPN leagues. He is designated to return to practice, Jadarian Price is on injured reserve, and when Charbonnet is back in the game day lineup he is the clear RB1. He scored 12 touchdowns while splitting carries with Kenneth Walker III last year. The present is messy, with Emanuel Wilson leading in touches and Seattle just signing veteran Joe Mixon. Claim Charbonnet now, before the price catches up to the upside.

Romeo Doubs (WR, New England Patriots) Romeo Doubs finally clicked with Drake Maye, leading the Patriots with 6 catches on 9 targets for 58 yards and 2 touchdowns in Week 4. A.J. Brown is out with a high ankle sprain, and Mack Hollins left that game with a calf injury, so Doubs upside keeps climbing. He is rostered in 58% of ESPN leagues. New England hosts the Raiders in Week 5, an offense that throws for 256.5 yards per game, and a connected Doubs should be a top 30 receiver as long as Brown is out.

T.J. Hockenson (TE, Minnesota Vikings) T.J. Hockenson caught 13 of 13 targets for 119 yards in Week 4, which is probably an aberration, but it is one worth stashing. He is rostered in 55% of ESPN leagues. The Vikings play New Orleans in Week 5 and then face the Colts and Lions, soft spots for a former Pro Bowl tight end. If your tight end room is thin, this is the best stash on the wire with a real starting ceiling.

Cincinnati Bengals D/ST Cincinnati is the defense to stream in Week 5, at just 17% rostered. The Bengals host a Miami offense averaging 11.5 points per game, the worst in the league, and carry a top three sack rate in football. Every defense that has played the Dolphins in fantasy this season finished in the top 10 for scoring that week. A stream against the league's worst offense from a 2 and 2 defense is the easiest freebie available. If your defense slot is empty, claim it.
